Business Networking - Fun and Easy

Business networking sounds so formal and stuffy. Networking is really just taking advantage of an opportunity to talk to others about their needs and wants. Some business networking is carefully planned and some just happens. Networking is friendly, low-key and essential to your home based business.

It is interesting how many ways there are to network. You are standing in line at the post office and the next thing you know you are talking to someone about your business or theirs. Or possibly, someone mentions a product or service that they are looking for and before long you are both helping each other with information, products or services.  

Do you realize how many networking places you are in during a month? I thought it would help to get your creativity going a little if I bring up a few examples below.

Some Networking Places: 

• Airports

• Trains

• Buses

• Elevators

• Hotel Lobbies

• Waiting Rooms

• Restaurants

• Movie Lineups

• Grocery Stores

• Business Associations

• Through Friends and Families

• Barter

• Any Type of Waiting Line

This list is just the tip of the iceberg. As you can see there are numerous ways to network and they are all fun and easy. Many times you aren't even thinking about promoting your business and the conversation just comes up. It's second nature. People always ask what you do for a living, so if you are prepared you will be able to give them a short and informative answer.
